ARENA-PAC, in cooperation with several research and educational networks, contributed to the successful telesurgery trial between Fujita Health University (FHU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) on October 9 to12 2023. This was Japan’s first telesurgery trial conducted between Singapore and Japan, distanced more than 5,000km. The telesurgery trial was made possible through research collaboration between FHU and NUS, Medicaroid Corporation, which developed the telesurgery robot, the WIDE Project with the Cyber Civilization Research Center (CCRC) at Keio University, which coordinates the research and education network.
